PHEWWWW!!!!! So I’m all done with my 42-Day Challenge, if you can believe it. Time really flies when things get easier after the first few weeks. It all becomes so second-nature!
If you’re in the dark about what I’m talking about with this challenge, you can check out a few of the related posts here:
And without further ado, here is the video I made to describe my overall experience, how much weight I lost, what I learned and what’s next!
You look terrific!
THANK YOU!! (Kid :P )
Hello Cheri,
Thanks for your encouraging words in the Youtube comments. Nutrition was pretty good last week, though I continued to eat high calorie low nutrient meals. My lunch break is from 7:30-8:00 PM, and I clock out at midnight, so it is often a mental struggle to go straight home without grabbing something. Last night I put a stop to it. This is good. This creates a good 16 hours between meals.
I’m feeling better already. The sodium induced bloat is receding, and the inflammation in my ankles is going away, just as it did last time. I’m going to continue eating a bit more fats than Fuhrman prescribes. I find that the higher fat, along with fiber keeps me full, and keep my mind off the sweets in the vending machine.
Eat food, not too much, mostly plants.
Terrence! I’m so glad to hear an update! :D Thanks for commenting. I can certainly see how it’d be a struggle to get home without stopping first — I’ve definitely done that way more than once. Glad you stopped.
Also glad to hear you’re feeling some positive effects already; the best! What is your primary goal? Weight loss or just health? When all is said and done, I usually end up eating more fat than he prescribes as well, but for me, the weight loss is easiest when I cut back. Whatever works and keeps you happy! :)
Exactly. Keep in touch!
I’m a stocky guy– an endomorph type. 5’6″, 184 lbs, though some of that number is muscle because I walk, hike, bike, and have an active job. My target weight is 160 lbs. That would put me in the healthier 12-15% body fat range.
For now, I am going day by day. The cravings spike between 9PM and Midnight. If I stick with this for a couple weeks straight, it will become habit. I’ve been here before. Cravings are intense for a few days. My fridge and freezer are stocked for the weekend, and I’m a decent cook. :)
I appreciate your support, and will check back in soon. Enjoy the summer!
All sounds amazing, Terrence, I wish you the best of luck, of course. Your goal weight looks totally do-able and healthy and I wish you the easiest of successes. Looking forward to check-ins. Enjoy yours as well! :D
I just came across this video today. Funny enough, I am also 5 foot 2 AND A HALF! lol
Great results! Congratulations!
I’m starting the 6 week plan today!
Heeeheeee yes the half TOTALLY matters doesn’t it, Shannon??? :) :D good luck, hope it’s going well so far!! <3
I wish I could stick to it
on diet 7 weeks still very bloated and having gas too Any suggestions!
Yes! Chew more thoroughly (aim for 30 chews per bite!), drink more water, introduce beans and cruciferous veggies more slowly. <3
