Meet Cheri
Hey, my friend.
I’m Cheri Alberts, the founder of this website and YouTube channel. My goal is to spread the mission of creating consistency and joy for anyone wanting to get healthy for life.
My advice is based on the Eat to Live lifestyle by the book by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. This is a whole-foods, plant-based, high-nutrient lifestyle.
We eat the good stuff and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
But hey, eating healthy, whole, vegan, high nutrient foods isn’t always super easy (physically, mentally and emotionally!), especially considering the society we live in, the junk food that surrounds us and the food addictions and cravings that we contend with.
That’s why I’m here.

WHO IS
CHERI ALBERTS?
I’m a 30-something woman who lives in Las Vegas with my amazingly supportive, gorgeous husband Andres, my lovely, funny, whip-smart daughter Isabella and our two rescue cats: a super bratty but loving orange tabby named Vincent and a sweet and lazy, black and white cat named Moo.
The reason I started this website was actually because I considered myself a “foodie” and just loved to eat and talk about food. I also knew I wanted to create a business online that would marry my love of food and create an income.
You can even go back to my first posts on this website or on my YouTube channel and see what a disaster it was back then. For better or for worse, I haven’t deleted anything. :D I truly started this as a cocktail and foodie website!
Then in 2013, I found the book Eat to Live, and it completely changed my life…immediately and permanently.
I knew this was the way I was going to eat forever but I just had to figure out HOW…with so many food cravings for not-so-healthy food and a constant weight issue throughout my whole life…I knew I needed to figure this all out, so I decided to do it in public on my website, for all to witness.
In 2016, I started vlogging my journey on YouTube, starting with a 20 Day Challenge that I completed, and have been consistently producing weekly videos since. My videos range in topics from how I do this, what I eat in a day, mindset techniques, and tips, tricks and recipes and so many more things I learn by private coaching and putting my journey online for the general public.
I’m known for my honesty and candor in telling my story, as well as my mistakes and successes while trying to navigate this journey from the perspective of a long-time food addict with Binge Eating Disorder and food hoarding tendencies.
If you want to know more about how to do the same thing I did, I hope you will find some useful information in the 500+ YouTube videos I have created.

My Credentials
I hold a Bachelor’s degree from New York University in Art History and a minor in French Studies. I know — super useful, practical and economical. HA! But hey, I paid for the whole thing myself, believe it or not, and wouldn’t change it for the world…it made me who I am today. ;)
In 2016, I earned my Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell University and then in 2019, I earned my certification in Weight and Life Coaching from the prestigious Life Coach School.Â
Each week I publish free content on the topics of Eat to Live, healthy eating, food addiction, cravings, consistency, weight-loss and so much more on my YouTube channel and website.
I also publish 21-Day Challenges (meal planning/recipes/grocery lists, etc) every 2-3 months for my audience to participate in, so we can all reach our goals of healthy weight-loss and maintenance, as well as mastery in the Eat to Live Nutritarian lifestyle.
I am a private Weight-loss and Life Coach, and have been successfully guiding my clients to their goals since mid-2017. I have personally touched and directed the stories of many clients who have lost 50-100 pounds using my powerful weight-loss and life-coaching techniques.
I understand that weight-loss is so much more than just a number on a scale. It’s a whole-body, whole-mind, and whole-life activity that needs to be sustainable to be valuable.
The program that I guide my clients through creates the type of lasting results that they are looking for, with a strategy that works on the deepest root of our thoughts…which is the determinant of all of our results.
Once we get our thoughts in line, the rest falls into place…permanently and sustainably. I give my clients and subscribers these tools to take with them for a lifetime, empowering us all to realize that we have all the power to reach any goal we desire…right between our ears.
When I’m not working to build this mission, testing recipes, eating gigantic salads or interacting with my cute, little family, I can be found hiking, creating art like watercolor or linocut prints, or watching Spanish novelas on Netflix.
Why is this site called
Nourish Your Lifestyle?
The name is representative of two things:
A watering mouth, which is a symptom of True Hunger.
This concept is detailed here and in the book Eat to Live: one will experience true hunger (feelings in the mouth and throat versus stomach and head) after a period of detox from processed Standard American Diet foods. We want to shoot for this feeling whenever we get hungry and that’s how we know we are finally breaking free of “hanger”, which is really a symptom of withdrawal from toxic foods.
Pavlov’s Dog and Classical Conditioning
Everyone has heard of the classical studies that Ivan Pavlov did in the late 1800s on dogs and their salivary reactions to food and unrelated stimuli like the sound of the metronome.
These scientific experiments illustrate the idea that our mouths watering can be an untrue symptom, and that we can break free of food cravings and habits with work in the opposite direction.
