Since starting the challenge, I’ve been thinking that for most of my life I’ve used food as entertainment. Penn Jillette talks about this in his book Presto! and I keep coming back to this idea and realizing what a driving force it’s been. Part of what I want to keep playing with is breaking this habit. I appreciate you sharing your process and your willingness to try something on and then let it go if it isn’t working.

I have followed Dr Fuhrman’s Nutritarian plan on and off for the past 3 years or so. I have read and follow the End to Diabetes plan more. I have had my A1C go from 7.7 to 5.5. Although I have not lost a lot of weight, I feel good about the way I eat. My hardest part is knowing which of the Nutritarian recipes I can prepare and not spike my glucose (using a lot of fruit for example). I wish there were more of these recipes for the Diabetics. I am going to see Dr Fuhrman’s taping of a new PBS special on Saturday and I can’t wait to see the master in person. Thank you Cheri for allowing us into your life and seeing the struggles you have and how you work through them.
