I know because I used to be there and I came back from that. I used to eat very poorly for many, many years of my life. I was always overweight, had terrible energy…and just knew there was another way.
I knew there was a way that you could eat the right foods, not feel that crazy dieting-feeling anymore, feel satisfied after meals, lose the cravings and be at a healthy weight…easily. I knew it must be possible…and I was right! I found Eat to Live lifestyle and started drinking the proverbial Eat to Live kool-aid.
But after a while, I found that there was one missing piece of the puzzle that I needed in order to sustain this forever.
It was like, one final mystical thing that I KNEW must exist, that I just wasn’t grasping yet.
How did I get all the food I needed, enjoy it, feel satisfied hunger-wise, lose the weight I needed, keep it off easily, and not crave or binge anymore like I used to? I knew there must be a way, but I hadn’t discovered it yet.
And that was what happened when I discovered the power of life coaching, mindset techniques and how we can coach ourselves to success.
I believed that we all had the power to be able to get these results, rather than just relying on accountability, strict weighing and measuring of foods, having to rely on a coach or a friend to keep us on track.
I wanted to be able to attend parties without going overboard, to hang with friends while maintaining self-control, and to be able to feel confident that I could sustain my healthy lifestyle even in the face of all the temptations around us in normal, Standard American Eating society.
That’s what I found when I started my Life Coaching certification.
I found that the power was always within me, and that I could strengthen it over time, just as I had learned many things in my life before: like new languages, how to budget, how to keep my house clean, etc.
These skills of being able to create our own results with weight and healthy eating are not out of reach for any of us, regardless of our past or present.
We can all do this.
