So I had a rough few days on this past weekend: day 25 and 26 of my current 42-Day Eat Good Challenge.
I made a video so I can talk about it very candidly…so check it out! :)
My Issues on Day 25 and Day 26
Everyone I know — especially people that are committed to a goal, have moments where they are weak or things happen to trip them up. I really believe it’s how we get through these challenges and whether or not we continue with our goal even when we’ve “failed” that creates success.
I read an article yesterday that reminded me of a very important concept that I seem to have, (considering how long I’ve been nursing this blog along….) which is:
GRIT
I find this to be a particularly inspiring word for me at this point, as I am not only in the middle of a challenge that requires extreme grit for a sustained period of time, but also as I mentioned above, keeping this blog going with the same passion and interest, is an act of grit and love…that I’ve been doing for over 4 years now!
Wikipedia defines Grit as:
“A positive, non-cognitive trait based on an individual’s passion for a particular long-term goal or end state, coupled with a powerful motivation to achieve their respective objective.”
That’s me all over!
I have huge plans and goals for myself and this website, and I am honored that you are with me on this journey. Stay by my side and let’s do this together!
